i'd say that this was the first time that i REALLY felt the spirit manifest in me anytime. today was simply awesome. i must say that previously i never felt the real importance of the Gospel and doctrine in my life until i everything really just went SPLAT. its just like how the Gospel recounts as to how we only feel the need for divine intervention at critical moments and i've come to understand just a wee bit of it only. man... i need to learn from glen lewis the GOOGLE. haha.
stake conference was exhilarating at the same time. my heart was probably beating so fast that it could have jumped out onto the podium and danced cos of playing the organ for the stake! bahh. i was so freaked out. HAHA! and the choir sang well when it mattered. KUDOS to the stake choir and Bro. Petersen! haha (:
the fireside tonight was just as good as President Goo and Sister Goo shared their insights on success at home and in marriage and concerning covenant relationships with God and your partner. and BMW stands for Beautiful Mormon Wife. haha. fancy a shirt saying 'i heart my BMW'?
this was really the first stake conference that i took notes down so furiously. HAHA. i've been oblivious for so long now of my almost 18 year old life.
an unbelievable day capped off with the awesome-est time spent playing dodgeball with the toa payoh ward young men. haha. flying around and just making through a game unscathed. the thrill of it. and its just cool to see everyone participate. especially when the smaller and/or weaker ones knock someone out an uproar of commotion erupts but in a good way. nice one travis, ivan and jeremy. haha. to the rest... just as expected... nice plays of course! :D
WALL-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) is really a good movie to watch. but the literally robot-ic-ish romance is a bit weird. and ehhh... the fat people "invasion" theme is seriously overwhelming. they're just too much! i can't imaging myself sitting in a hovering wheel chair and becoming dependent on robots to rule and sustain life. haha. and there's the sick-OH part where the people just fall off from their hovering wheel chairs and slide across the floor like bags of blubber filled catastrophe. imagine tens of thousands. ok. that's just an eyesore. but it was hilarious.
and i still say... CLONE WARS FTW (for the win!) aye... could have watched it.
throw away all questions and doubts in my mind. i'm just gonna live my life worthily for myself and others. no more distractions for this time now till A levels are officially over. after then, maybe i can go back to liking you if things turn out right. but now or the near future sure doesn't seem like the right time (WHY AM I KIDDING MYSELF?!)
bishop youth discussion otherwise known as another extension of the BY-alphabets (i.e. BYU and BYC for all u non-mormon church like folk out there who may just be interested) was simply hilarious.
NO. it was not done by bishop cos i'm sure he admits that jon bytheway is definitely a much better speaker than he is. and what better than to exemplify it with one of his standard talks which calls for laughs 90% of the time but at the same time sending the right message across if u think about it. in the video, he shared his own dating experience and how we should live to be worthy for our significant other halves. along with it... yes... u get e feel good about saying i'm gonna meet my girlfriend or whatever comes to mind as good clean fun.
glad i went after staying in church for at least 10 hours and in my sunday best for more than 12. haha. eeee... i'm a stinky sticky boy. most of e others had the luxury to go home and change while i was slogging off practicing for stake conference. genius. haha. but its all good.
spent some time with my institute classmates glen, joanne and ya cong at waffletown after institute ytd. haha. simply chilled and talked. glen ordered his fried chicken wings and was kinda lost in conversation as he was so focused on eating. man. he's blur for his scriptural encyclopedia brain. joanne and spencer call him GOOGLE? yeah. he's all machine like too.
OK. TIME TO FOCUS ON STUDIES and a bit of olympics (:
haha. donated blood with martin. the idea wasn't quite there after we decided to see who's blood would flow into the bag and finish filling faster. haha. but still... we did a good deed which will go into the cip record as one hour. so therefore, 250ml of your blood equates to one hour?!! man... blood sounds cheap now doesn't it?
blood is supposed to be a source of life. and blood transfusions are meant to keep people alive when they are really losing blood and nobody's business. and then there are so many stupid people who spill blood over passionate emotions and desperation. oh... a random thought... slit-wrist-ers should be in e same league i suppose.
i love pizza. pizza for breakfast, pizza for lunch, pizza for dinner. i'm hungry!
oh. that reminds me about this old game called ZOOM-BINEES (really a puzzle game and i think i misspelt it) that i used to play with my sister. haha. its some really old game which is only compatible with windows 98. (so sad that its no longer playable cos i'm not gonna purposely become a tech dinosaur just to play it) the phrase above actually comes from the game itself. see the impact after more than 5++ years? haha.
had a fun time at the lim's place where we indulged in a pizza dinner created by our own hands (Sis. Evelyn Lim, Kandace and I... Sam was in the room playing computer) haha. i finally realized... why no pics of us making pizza? thank you for inviting me Sis. Evelyn Lim and Kandace! haha. eh... business stats is so much more ADDITIONAL and UNNECESSARY. what with the stats syllabus jc students have to go through already. haha. we watched e basketball match between spain and angola too! (:
watched nadal-djokovic semifinal last night at 12. haha. the funny thing that happened during the whole telecast was when people cheered nadal and djokovic on. and they sounded china-rean. what with chinese accent and all. but they really turned out to be european. haha. like what?!
woohoo! russia owning egypt in volley!
HAHA. martin brought his D2 Digivice to school today. and i'm gonna bring my D3 to battle with him tmr. haha. nice. martin... if i fail (TOUCHWOOD) prelims or/and A levels i'm gonna blame you. ha-ha. madness. so yes. primary school craze of the digivice and how we all go shake shake shake and become so hyperactive and restless cos we do repetitive motions. but its good! cos it helps you with dancing in someway (i tink... >.<) cool-yo right? haha.
trent said he was going to study at the national library and ended up studying at home today. kandace was like complaining about trent's laziness to come all the way to woodlands. apparently, trent was gonna study with estelle. haha. so i didn't have my regular lunch cum library study buddy who i'd always get chocolates with at the nearby supermarket. least i still went to get m&m's and twix (: other than that. there was the awesome nerds rope i got from kandace (:
so the day was spent with samuel and kandace. i admit study wasn't as effective as normal with all the sidetracking like playing the spelling bee game (sam and i was spamming this when kandace wasn't looking) on facebook and watching videos that kandace posted on her facebook account. haha. the vids were hilario-us. haha. 'it is... it is... it is... *pauses* say something! it is... white. and it can float around *with hand actions*.' haha.
still... i managed to do 1 math paper and econs plus kandace's extra questions. wow. sam was like uber re-chill-laxed studying history or sth if i can rmb secondary school stuff well enough. sth about japanese occupation. and he did zao ju. i hope my hanyu pinyin skills are still there. haha.
strange. i seem to have met a lot of pple randomly today. mingquan, jeremy, elmo and jarad. elmo was like 'aye. why u keep stalking me?' i replied 'i was here earlier lahh. ure stalking me.' haha. retarded.
hey you. better get motivated to study FAST. ha-ha.
its always fun when helium balloons are brought back home. funny. dad was playing with one of the balloons and went to breathe in the helium just for the fun of it. as expected, his voice went all nasal like. and it was also found out that helium is sweet smelling? haha. i dunno. weird.
glen taught his first lesson in the Toa Payoh Ward Young Men as a substitute after coming back from his mission. haha. its always fun to have him teach ever since he was called to be in the Young Men Presidency 2 years back. it wasn't any different save for the regurgitating and churning out scriptural references like some auto-encyclopedia. haha. i can't even imagine myself like that after my own mission.
got some awesome goodies from kandace during stake choir practice. haha. thanks for holding on to it till then so that I would be able to fast proper (:

haha. i know i ain't good with cameras.
but i like this pic!
anybody fancy a pole shift/pole reversal will take place soon? if so we're probably not gonna live past 2012 and die off like the prehistoric Jurassic world. sounds like doomsday? haha. why did i even type a 'haha'? this ain't some laughing matter. haha.
Take a look?
Pole Shift & Pole Reversal in 2012
intelligent posts. what makes intelligent posts? no myra. it is not the equivocal of a post done up by a trent lai or anyone who's as intellectually able as he is or even more so. intelligent posts are the dissecting of issues carefully taken apart and answered succinctly based on well constructed arguments. a haphazardly constructed argument may still answer the question but it all depends on the reader and how reader friendly it is to the person in question. so yes. an intelligent post still requires a degree of intelligence but it doesn't take a trent lai or any genius to do so.
anyway... studying with trent really gives u a certain aura and makes u study. i think i shall make it a point to go to the national library on fridays after school, meaning that i have to sacrifice volleyball practice to do so all in the name of academia. wow. i feel motivated. oh yeah... and we decided not to go for mutual as we had to study and we did till 8pm. haha. so when i saw sadesh, sherman, david and the rest today they were like asking where we were cos they claimed it wasn't as hyped up and fun what with dodgeball and etc etc. so sorry guys! we had to study! haha. anyway... ward talent night was rather lively. and e petersens' skits and sketches are awesome!
kandace! please don't forget to bring e goods! thanks! :D
